CHAIRMAN
Mr William Wai-hoi Doo is the Chairman and Director of Fungseng Prosperity Holdings Limited. He is also the Founding Chairman and major shareholder of FSE Holdings Limited.
Mr Doo is the Vice Chairman and Non-Executive Director of New World Development Company Limited; an Independent Non-executive Director of Shanghai Industrial Urban Development Group Limited, all being listed public companies in Hong Kong. He is currently the Non-Executive Director of Lifestyle International Holdings Limited. He was also Independent Non-Executive Director of the Bank East Asia, Limited.
Mr Doo receives high credential and accolades in the business society who has been participating in diversified businesses including listed companies and well established corporations.
Mr Doo holds a number of public service duties to devote himself to the society. He was a National Committee Member of the 12th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He was a Standing Committee Member of the 8th-11th Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and the Convener (Hong Kong & Macau Members) of the 10th & 11th Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He is a Justice of the Peace appointed by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2021. Mr Doo is also the President of Presidium of Friends of Hong Kong Association Development Foundation Limited, the Founding Vice President of HKCPPCC (Provincial) Members Association Limited and the Honorary Consul General in Hong Kong and Macau accredited by the Kingdom of Morocco. Mr Doo was decorated by His Majesty The King of Morocco with the honour "Alawite Officer Wissam". He was commended by the President of the French Republic for three times and was further promoted to the Officier de l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur by the Republic of France in 2019. Mr Doo is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong-France Business Council appointed by Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
Mr. Doo has contributed significantly to public services, charities and institutions and supports higher education with advisory services and assistance in fund raising activities for various local and overseas universities. He is currently the Chairman of the School Board of Victoria Shanghai Academy, and serves as the Governor of University of Toronto (Hong Kong) Foundation for over 20 years. In addition, Mr Doo is a Governor of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. He was conferred as the Foundation Fellow by the Wadham College of University of Oxford in the United Kingdom in 2017 and became a member of the Chancellor’s Court of Benefactors in 2018.
